For 50 years a top-secret government program has controlled the lives of 718 Vietnam-era servicemen. The recent deaths of the RECALL program manager and his secretary will lead Palmer Arnold on a journey that involves a conspiracy within the highest levels in the Department of Defense, National Security Agency, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Vatican.

Although mostly fiction, some of the events and ideology are based in fact and are embedded in the test to allow the reader to discern for themselves if there are any higher value and meaning for our existence.

Frank Nutter is a retired Department of Defense Auditor and this is his first attempt at writing fiction. He lives with his wife in Tampa, Florida. They are avid RVers and have explored many of our nation’s natural wonders.

The Beginning is his debut novel and first in a two part series. The novel begins with a spiritual awakening that changes Walter Clooney’s altruistic view of the world. The story reveals an ongoing conspiracy involving Department of Defense, National Aeronautic Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Security Agency and the Vatican.

“BAM!! Just Blew My Mind!!!  The Beginning, describing growing up in rural Central Community, located in Johnson City, TN. Anyone growing up here during the 50's and 60's, will be reminded of the long, peaceful days of our youth. Family, school, and church were the peak of our existence. We were safe; we were cared for; we were happy. We were naïve! The Vietnam War broke our peace and whisked away our young men some never to return. For 718 servicemen life will never be the same. The Beginning is "a spiritual awakening which changes one man's altruistic view of the world; revealing an on going conspiracy between DOD, NASA, NSA, and the Vatican". An intriguing well written plot that causes the readers to examine their belief in God, extraterrestrial life, and to question the reason man exists. Who is in control? Is it the government or someone else?

After finishing the novel, I am impatiently awaiting its sequel, where I hope to find answers to the above questions!”

I "can’t wait for the Sequel!

Nutter’s “The Beginning” starts out with the story of a young boy, his family, his dog Skeeter, and Skeeter’s craving for bologna (just like his young master). The boy’s mother is charming and her culinary achievements create a warm atmosphere in an East Tennessee home during the 60’s,when dads were building bomb shelters and school children were having nuclear disaster drills.

I learned new and interesting information about the Apollo landing on the Moon, and the story reveals an ongoing conspiracy involving DOD, NASA, NSA and the Vatican. There are so many questions I need answered, so I can’t wait for Book #2.
